  • Collection d'un homme d'affaires monégasque
  • Titre de circulation monégasque
  • Carrosserie rarissime
  • Belle patine d'usage
  • Puissant V8

Monegasque title - Extremely rare bodywork - Beautiful patina - Powerful V8 - No reserve Given their manufacturing complexity and the maintenance they require, "woody" station wagons are extremely rare today. After the first rustic and functional versions, the woodies became automobiles that displayed the chic of a country club and were intended for a wealthy clientele. This Buick Roadmaster corresponds to this body style, the top (except the roof) and the rear panel is made of varnished wood. The car comes from the important Woody collection of a Greek shipowner, who had it restored around 20 years ago.

Green in colour, the sheet metal parts offer a beautiful shine, and the chrome bits are complete. The interior features olive green vinyl bench seats and a dashboard that features a chunky chrome speaker grille at the centre. This "Roadmaster" is powered by the new 5.2-litre V8 which develops 190bhp. It was mated to a Dynaflow automatic transmission. The mechanic of our collector overhauled the shock absorbers, the carburettor, and installed an electric fuel pump system. Extremely rare, with a distinctive bodywork, this Buick Roadmaster is sure to attract attention while providing a wonderful way to travel. Photos © Loïc Kernen
