The Buick Riviera is a personal luxury car produced by Buick from the 1963 to 1999. GM's first entry into that prestige niche, the Riviera was highly praised by automotive journalists upon its high-profile debut. While early models stayed close to the original form, subsequent generations varied substantially over the Riviera's thirty-year lifespan with eight different generations represented.

This T-Type example is presented in the two-tone color combination of blue over silver. The interior is leather and gray in tone. This car is driven by a 3.8-liter V-6 engine, which was the customer’s only choice of power. Additional equipment that is listed includes the Buick graphic control center, steering wheel controls, power seats, AM/FM radio, power steering and power brakes. Four-wheel disc brakes were offered as standard; sources indicate that 15,223 examples were sold in 1987.
