The Electra 225 was introduced in 1959 as Buick’s top-of-the-line model. In 1961 Buick redesigned their model line and with it introduced the second-generation Buick Electra 225. The 1961 Electra 225 was offered in two body styles a four-door Riviera sedan and two-door convertible, both of which offered seating for six passengers. In 1961 Buick produced 7,158 Electra 225 Convertibles. The second-generation Electra ran through 1964.

This 1961 Buick Electra 225 convertible is presented in black with a white convertible power top. The front fenders are adorned with four VentiPorts which designated the Electra model; other cars in the Buick line featured only three VentiPorts. The car is powered by a Wildcat 445-cid V-8 engine which is paired with an automatic transmission. The Wildcat 445-cid V-8 was the largest engine offered in the Buick line for 1961. The car sits on whitewall tires, which look great against the black paint. The interior of the car is completed in maroon vinyl and features factory air conditioning, AM radio, clock, as well as a power seat and windows.

The clock is a great design aspect of the interior; it features a space age teardrop shape and is mounted prominently on the center of the dash.
