A very desirable, manual gearbox 325 M-Tech 2 Sport from long-term ownership.
The revered E30 325 with the legendary M20 SOHC 6-cylinder engine. First registered in May 1991. One of the last Sport models ever produced. UK-supplied and with low ownership, this car has covered under 57,000 miles. With its last keeper for 26 years before being passed to his nephew. Presenting really well, in Sterling Silver with a classic black interior. Lightly refreshed recently, Inspection 2 Service and a fresh MOT. With E30 M3 prices now out of reach to most, these fabulous driver's cars are a real alternative. The BMW 325i was a massively important car for BMW - and it remains an enduring success today.
The E30 generation cemented BMW as the market leader in the medium-sized saloon sector, and although it looked little different from its predecessor, thanks to understated styling by Claus Luthe, it was far more convincingly engineered and far better to drive. The upper models in the range, with their straight-six power, rear-wheel drive and perfectly judged steering, were the ones to have. The 320i and - even more so - the 323i/325i were a real driver's delight and the E12's propensity to oversteer when it wanted to, had been tamed considerably in the E30.
The manual 325i Sport was the best of the lot and with that wailing engine, controllable rear-biased handling, and all-round quality this was 'the' sports saloon to beat. This 2.5-litre 325 Sport is superbly understated in Sterling Silver with a classic black interior and has patently been cherished by its long term owner. He must have loved his little silver 'Beemer' as he kept it for 26 years before handing it over to his nephew, and whilst his nephew would have loved to keep it, circumstances prevailed and our vendor acquired the car within the last year.
Minimally refreshed where needed, it has recently undergone its Inspection 2 Service and MOT and comes to the sale ready to join a collection or to be a daily driver for those in the know.
