The 1999 Audi TT was a groundbreaking model that left a lasting impact on the automotive world. First introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1995 as a concept car, the TT quickly became a production reality, hitting the market in 1999. Designed by the legendary Peter Schreyer, the TT’s striking, geometric lines and distinctive coupé silhouette made it an instant icon. The car was praised for its bold design, featuring a round, almost Bauhaus-inspired aesthetic, with smooth, sculpted curves that were both futuristic and timeless. Under the bonnet, the 1999 Audi TT was available with multiple engine configurations.
The entry-level model featured a 1.8 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering around 180 horsepower. This engine was paired with Audi's renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system, providing excellent traction and handling in a variety of conditions. The five-speed manual transmission was standard, with an optional six-speed manual or automatic for those seeking more convenience. Originally registered on 4th February 1999, this left hand drive Audi was used up until 2002 and then put in to storage, hence the very low mileage of only 21,400 Km (13,297 miles). It has been recommissioned at a cost of over £2,400 with work including new tyres, cambelt, water pump, brake discs and pads and a complete service. It comes with a Certificate of Conformity from Volkswagen/Audi, together with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 26th November 2025. Finished in silver with black leather trim, this Audi TT is in fabulous condition and wants for nothing.
