Introduced at The Geneva Show in 1980, the Quattro was to go on to become the rallying icon of the 1980's due to its outstanding four wheel drive capabilities. Their road car was to be Audi's first highly credible performance saloon, producing over 200bhp and featuring a turbo charged and intercooled unique 5 cylinder engine. Performance and handling were both superb with 0-60mph coming in 7.1 secs and a top speed of around 140mph.

This particular car was built new for the UK market as a right hand drive car and delivered to its first owner, Mr. Vessey, in Guernsey in 1987. The main dealer, who no longer exists, looked after the car from new and we have contacted an ex-mechanic of theirs who confirmed that the car was main dealer maintained throughout the 1990's and that the mileage is accurate. He recalls it having had a pampered existence and to have covered very few annual miles around the Baileywick.

It was the recipient of a major service costing in excess of £5,000 in 2005 and has also recently had a service in 2012 (bills are in history file). Finished in the best colour combination of Mars Red with grey upholstery, the vendor tells us that this 51,000 mile car drives superbly and has no hidden vices. Sold with just 3 previous owners, a current MOT and road tax - its ready to go - and is as clean underneath as on top!
