After 57 years, the Range Rover is finally going electric — without giving up its legendary off-road ability.

The 2027 Range Rover Electric looks remarkably similar to its gasoline-powered sibling, with the biggest visual changes limited to the grille, wheels and underbody panels designed to improve aerodynamics. But underneath, it’s a completely different machine.

Two electric motors deliver 542 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque through all-wheel drive, pushing the luxury SUV to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds. A 119-kWh battery provides an EPA-estimated 333 miles (536 km) of range, while the 800-volt system supports DC charging at up to 350 kW. Land Rover claims a 10–80 percent charge takes only 22 minutes.

Think an EV can’t handle serious terrain? The Range Rover Electric comes with air suspension, electric traction control that can respond to wheelspin in just 50 milliseconds, and enough capability to wade through 35 inches (89 cm) of water.

Starting at $140,550, it commands a premium over the gasoline model but costs $9,200 more than the P550e plug-in hybrid. A First Edition leads the launch, while the Bespoke program offers further customization.
