I've had my Toyota Rush here in Dubai for half a year. It's a practical choice for the city!
Let's start with the positives. The car is very functional. You sit up high, which helps you see over traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road. It fits seven people, which is great for when I have relatives visiting. The biggest advantage is the cost. It's inexpensive to own, and maintenance at Toyota service centers here is affordable and easy. Fuel expenses are also low, which is really important.
However, there are a few downsides. The engine isn't very strong. It's fine for city driving, but on the highway to Abu Dhabi, it feels underpowered and loud. The air conditioning does its job, but it has a hard time cooling the car quickly during the hottest summer days. Also, it's not the most comfortable for long trips because the seats are quite simple.
So, who is this car for? It's ideal for a first-time car owner or a small family watching their budget. It's excellent for daily commutes and shopping trips. But if you're looking for power, extra comfort, or want to go off-roading in the desert regularly, you should probably consider a different model. It's more about practicality than luxury.
