This type 2 Transporter single cab is a rust-free So-Cal example that is fully restored, completed in 2007 and driven sparingly since. It was totally stripped and repainted in DuPont Chroma Clear in Porsche Guards Red, while the interior was completely redone with new NOS style upholstery, new Wolfberg West door panels, new headliner, and new trim. Mechanically, this type 2 is upgraded with a rebuilt dual port 1,600cc engine, all new/rebuilt brakes, refurbished suspension and the electrical system is fully restored and upgraded to more user friendly 12-volt system.

Other notable details include factory Safari windows, upgraded chrome deluxe bumpers, Rhino lined bed interior, a Conestoga-style canopy, upgraded 5-lug polished Empi wheels, new deluxe chrome front VW badge and all new exterior trim including updated driver door handle with key lock. This single cab has been impeccably kept by enthusiast owners since restoration and has been driven fewer than 3,000 miles since completion.
