Very presentable TR4A, enjoyed by our vendors for over 30 years, and now indicating just over 70,000 miles. Entering production in 1961, the new TR4 was a wonderful mix of British brawn and Italian style. Sharp new bodywork did away with the TR3's cutaway doors to allow for wind-down windows. The torquey four-cylinder, twin-carb TR3 engine was enlarged to 2,138cc and mated to an all-synchro 4-speed gearbox. The later TR4A, as offered here, debuted in 1965 and introduced an all-new independent rear suspension system (IRS) This is an original UK-supplied 1965 TR4A with overdrive, first registered on. 26/05/1965 and indicating 70,208 miles at the time of cataloguing.
In the same family (husband and wife) ownership for over 30 years with four former registered keepers. Very presentable in Signal Red over black interior with a good soft top. Used last year to go to various classic car shows but not much recent use so may require some light recommissioning.
