Première Rolls Royce de l'Après-guerre, la Silver Wraith fut produite de 1946 à 1959. Selon la tradition Avant-guerre en vigueur, les châssis étaient envoyés chez les grands carrossiers pour être habillés. Le châssis WCB 56 fut livré le 4 août 1948 chez Park Ward Ltd à Willesden. Cette Rolls fut par la suite transformée en break bois, offrant ainsi la possibilité de rabattre la banquette arrière et de profiter d'un important plancher plat. La documentation d'usine nous indique qu'elle fut livrée neuve le 14 décembre 1948 au colonel Sir R. A. Needham à Londres, puis acquise 3 ans plus tard par la société Short Bros & Harland Ltd.
En 1952, elle devient la propriété de Miss Yule de Bricket Wood (probablement à l'origine de la modification en break bois) et change de main à son décès au profit de Mr. Willis d'Ealing, le 14 octobre 1960. Son actuel propriétaire en fait l'acquisition autour de 1978 (et l'immatricule en France en 2000) auprès d'un collectionneur qui l'avait immatriculée en mai 1977 en Angleterre. En 2014, la carrosserie Lecoq s'attèle à la restauration de la carrosserie avec notamment un nouvel ensemble de boiserie, pour plus de 63 000 €. Cette réalisation break bois sur base de Rolls-Royce est une rare opportunité d'acquérir un modèle d'exception offrant un aspect pratique et une originalité indéniable.

In keeping with the pre-war tradition, the chassis were sent to the major coachbuilders for dressing. Chassis WCB 56 was delivered on 4 August 1948 to Park Ward Ltd in Willesden. This Rolls was later converted into a wooden station wagon, allowing the rear seat to be folded down and the car to benefit from a large flat floor. Factory documentation tells us that it was delivered new on 14 December 1948 to Colonel Sir R. A.
Needham in London, and acquired 3 years later by Short Bros & Harland Ltd. In 1952, it came into the ownership of Miss Yule of Bricket Wood (who was probably responsible for modifying it to a wooden station wagon) and changed hands on her death to Mr Willis of Ealing on 14 October 1960. Its current owner acquired it around 1978 (and registered it in France in 2000) from a collector who had registered it in May 1977 in England. In 2014 carrosserie Lecoq restoring the bodywork, including a new set of wood panelling, at a cost of over €63,000. This Rolls-Royce-based wood station wagon is a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional model offering undeniable practicality and originality.
