Very popular car in France, the Renault 4 commonly known as 4L had a career spanning more than 30 years. The first were made in 1961 and the model quickly rose to the top of sales until 1965, succeeding the Renault Dauphine. Its success is international and remains to this day the second most produced car in the world, with more than 8 million units. Its aesthetics changed very little, giving the little city-dweller a delightfully « sixties » look. The example presented here is a 4 TL «Savane » model, which has been manufactured between 1986 and 1992. This one is a 1987 model which has a total of only 53,000 kilometers on the odometer and is colored almond green.

The car has only known one owner and is in very good original condition. The car is healthy and runs smoothly. Apart from the driver’s seat, the fabric upholstery is very well preserved, the engine compartment is immaculate and has retained its original stickers. Nowadays, a very beautiful Citroën 2CV6 from the same period easily fetched 12,000 euros, so the equally popular 4L deserves to be considered again especially when it is such a beautiful copy, offered at a very attractive estimate.
