If you were lucky enough to score a build slot for the Porsche 918 Spyder, in typical Porsche fashion, you were offered the exclusive opportunity to spend even more money and buy an additional exclusive machine. Limited to 918 units, the 911 Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition (offered, confusingly, as both a coupe and cabriolet) featured a raft of special details including loads of carbon trim, upgraded leather, and a healthy slathering of Acid Green paint and dye on the brake calipers, stitching, side mirrors, steering wheel detail, instrument needles, sill plates, and more.
This phenomenal Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition Cabriolet, the 72nd built, was produced in September of 2011 in Black over Black leather with Acid Green details and delivered new to Owings Mills, Maryland. According to the window sticker, the total sticker price was $175,575. To protect the paint, the front of the car was wrapped in a clear bra while the hood has fitted with a matte black wrap.
The current owner acquired the car in May of 2013 with 2060 miles on the clock. Since joining the present collection, a mere 20 miles have been added. With such limited use, it is advised that some mechanical checks should be undertaken prior to racking up the miles.
