This 1973 Porsche 911 S has undergone an extensive restoration process. The car had a full bare metal repaint to its original exterior color of (925) Silver Metallic. In 2023, the interior was refinished in the original Wine Red leather. This 911S is powered by a matching numbers 2.4-liter MFI flat-six, rebuilt in 2007 by Air Cooled Classics of Knoxville, Tennessee. The engine is paired with a matching numbers Type 915 manual transmission. In 2023, the A/C system was restored, with certain parts being replaced to increase efficiency, as well as having the engine bay detailed and engine sheet metal powder coated.
Recently replaced parts include front wheel bearings, rubber seals, Sekurit tinted windshield, black dash pad, carpeting, distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs, ignition points, rear axles, valve covers, SSI heat exchangers, and oil-fed “Carrera” chain tensioners. Presented on a set of refurbished 15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels with Porsche-crest center caps and 185/70 Pirelli CN36 tires. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, electric sliding sunroof, raised steering wheel hub, power windows, pop-out quarter windows, H1 headlights, horn grille-mounted fog lamps, ventilated brake discs, four-spoke steering wheel, Blaupunkt radio, and three-point seatbelts.
The five-digit odometer shows 8,000 miles but has rolled over. Included in the sale is a factory tool kit, a binder of extensive service records dating back to 1973, factory books, and a Porsche Classic Technical certificate, which confirms factory colors, options, and drivetrain serial numbers.
