In 1988 Porsche introduced the 'Commemorative Edition' Carrera (also referred to as the Jubilee Edition) to celebrate the production of the 250,000th 911. The 911 has been in production since 1963, where it debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Porsche built only 875 of these rare examples and only 300 came to the USA for the general public to purchase. This edition gave the owner some very unique and instantly noticeable features to stand out from others. Diamond Blue metallic was standard with matching color keyed wheels as well as accented nicely with the supple leather interior in Diamond Blue. Most noticeable feature is the hand stitched signature of Ferry Porsche in the headrest.
