According to a copy of the original purchase invoice, this 911 S 2.2 Coupé was finished in red and delivered new on 1 October 1969. Reportedly, it was initially used as a demonstrator for Pon, the official Dutch importer for Porsche. Of the 1,744 examples of the S Coupé built, thanks to the work of this car, it is believed that five originally found their way to the Netherlands.
Owned into the mid-1970s by Martin de Groot, who lived next to the Zandvoort Grand Prix circuit, the car was then bought by Mr Tim de Leeuw. Around 2003, he tasked ERPA Porsches of Beneden-Leeuwen with a total restoration at a cost of €35,784 (invoice available to view on file). Sold via the August SA dealer of Ohain in Belgium, the 911 S then joined The Curated Collection in August 2016.
A desirable S 2.2 with an interesting early history, this Porsche is accompanied by its owner’s guide, spare wheel, and original-type steering wheel (an OMP item is currently fitted). A true purist’s 911, this Porsche would fit in to any marque collection.
D'après une copie de la facture d'achat, cette 911 S 2.2 coupé a été livrée neuve de couleur rouge, le 1er octobre 1969. Elle aurait été utilisée initialement comme voiture de démonstration pour les établissements Pon, importateur Porsche officiel aux Pays-Bas. Sur les 1 744 exemplaires de coupés S produits, cinq auraient été vendus neufs aux Pays-Bas, grâce à l'influence de cette voiture.
Appartenant jusqu'au milieu des années 70 à Martin de Groot, qui habitait à deux pas du circuit de Zandvoort, elle a été ensuite achetée par M. Tim, de Leeuw. Autour de 2003, il a demandé à l'atelier ERPA, spécialiste Porsche à Beneden-Leeuwen, d'effectuer une restauration complète, pour la somme totale de 35 784 € (facture consultable dans le dossier). Vendue ensuite par l'intermédiaire de l'agent August SA, d'Ohain en Belgique, cette 911 S a rejoint en août 2016 "The Curated Collection".
Désirable 2.2 S de provenance intéressante, cette Porsche est accompagnée de son manuel d'utilisation, de sa roue de secours et d'un volant du type correct d'origine ( elle est aujourd'hui dotée d'un OMP). Véritable Porsche 911 de puriste, elle trouvera sa place dans toute collection consacrée à la marque.
