This beautiful example of the third-generation T-top Trans Am has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind street machine by Cleveland Power and Performance. The driveline has been swapped with a 2002 Trans Am WS6 LS1 engine with an LS6 intake manifold and 4l60E auto transmission. The engine has been upgraded with shorty headers, Spectre cold-air intake and a dyno-tune. Behind the headers the Catless 3' pipe meets a MagnaFlow muffler, which gives this TA an aggressive tone. The dyno-test shows 372hp. The engine was professionally rebuilt before the install and has been test-driven over 1,000 miles.
The improved stopping power is achieved by way of the color-matched fourth-generation calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Power is put to the ground through the aluminum driveshaft and the true-locker 3.23-ratio rear axle. The perfect stance on this TA comes courtesy of the Eibach lowering springs and staggered factory Corvette magnesium wheels with Sumitomo tires. The complete fourth-generation heat/air conditioning system is fully functional with a factory heater box and controls. It's finished in head-turning PPG Spectra Red. It's also equipped with a brand-new steering box.
The interior has been completely customized using 1998 Trans Am leather seats, dash and door panels, custom-wrapped headliner and complete carpet. This is a no-expense-spared build with countless hours spent on fit and finish to insure that this is an extremely top-notch third-generation custom restoration.
