This custom 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is a ground-up restoration geared toward handling and performance. Powered by a 1973 date-coded Pontiac 455ci drilled 4-bolt engine dyno-tested at 458hp with 537 ft/lbs torque. The engine features 1968 #16 Ho heads, an aluminum Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, a roller cam and roller rockers. The engine is mated to a Muncie Super Case 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst competition shifter, along with M22 gears and a 10-spline input shaft and finished off with a 3.42 Eaton posi-traction 10-bolt rear end. This car was built in the Norwood, OH, plant.

It is equipped with a full RideTech suspension kit, including a 4-link in the rear, tubular control arms, drop spindles, a large sway bar in the front and coilover shocks all the way around. A 6-piston Wilwood brake system was installed for extra stopping power. It also features a Wilwood master cylinder with stainless-steel brake lines to complete the system. The exhaust consists of Hedman headers attached to a Pypes 3-inch stainless-steel system with electric cutouts and Pypes Violator mufflers, and is finished with OE-looking stainless-steel Trans Am tips. A set of 17-inch Year One Snowflake wheels with Nitto tires were installed to complement the RideTech suspension and Wilwood brakes.

The interior has been completely restored and modified for comfort. Black seats, new carpet and a Vintage Air system complement the all-new door panels, headliner, rear side panels and kick panels. The dash and center console have been restored and vinyl-wrapped to give an OEM look. Finishing off the interior are new sill plates and a reconditioned iconic dash bezel. The exterior is finished in an Anthracite Gray Metallic base coat/clear coat paint complemented with the polished windshield, rear window, door moldings and rocker moldings. LED bulbs were installed in all marker lights, and the taillights are equipped with LED sequential turn signal and brake lights.

To top everything off, the iconic Screaming Chicken and Trans Am emblems have been properly placed.
