The first GT-Rs were produced from 1969 to 1973 and after a 16-year hiatus the GT-R name was revived in 1989 with the Skyline R32. This car was nicknamed ‘Godzilla’ by the Australian motoring publication Wheels in its July 1989 edition. Few cars have built up such a mantle of invincibility as Nissan's Skyline GT-R. Founded on saloon car racing dominance, almost implausible lap times of the Nürburgring and an underground following that translated into unquenchable public demand here in the UK, the Skyline has created its own legends. Although the torch is now carried by the R35 GT-R, a car that has dispensed with the Skyline badge, the last of the Skyline GT-R models, the R34, remains the definitive PlayStation generation car.
This stunning ‘near stock’ example of the R34 Skyline is presented in Solid White coachwork with standard black trim and bronze GTR wheels. Stock examples of the desirable R34 GT-R’s are rare, this car has only had a replacement exhaust, suspension modification and air filters which are considered sympathetic upgrades but are all easily reversable should you wish. Imported to the UK from Japan in June 2017, this car was declared a grade 4. The car boasts a comprehensive service history from Japan coupled to its history here in the UK for the past seven years. This is a true JDM classic and given its date of manufacture it is eligible for export to the USA without having to meet US safety and emissions standards.
Having recently benefitted from a full inspection and major service, our vendor states the car drives incredibly and still puts to shame modern sports and even supercars.
