The Morgan Aero 8 is powered by an engine from BMW and is notable in the history of the Worcestershire based manufacturer for several reasons; It was the first new Morgan design since the Plus 4 in 1964 and the first with an aluminium chassis and frame. Touted as Morgan’s first supercar, it undertook a comprehensive development programme which included endurance testing with BMW.

This Aero 8 is one of an estimated 208 Series III versions manufactured at the historic Malvern factory. Registered in 2007, this low mileage convertible presents well in the colour combination of grey with red leather interior. This later Morgan features the updated headlight unit resolving the famous ‘squint’ of earlier models. Power is delivered by a BMW 4.4 litre M62 V8 engine mated to a six-speed Getrag transmission. With its striking looks and ample power, this classic British sportscar is bound to put a smile on any drivers’ face. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, a valid MoT test certificate and a well stamped service book, this Morgan is ready to be enjoyed.
