This is an outstanding custom Mercury. This has been a feature car in the prestigious Rodder's Journal, Custom Rodder, Goodguys Top 10, and winner of countless shows and awards across the United States. At first glance, most people think it's an immaculately restored stocker. A closer look reveals the top has been chopped 3' front and 3-1/2' in back, and has a shaved hood and door handles. It's powered by a '54 Cadillac V8 bored .030 over with a mild solid-lifter cam and Egge Machine pistons and topped off with six 2-barrel Stromberg carburetors, with amazing fit and finish throughout. Automatic transmission. A very nice custom Mercury of the '50s.
