This 1940 Mercury Eight four-door town sedan is powered by a 239ci flathead V-8 engine paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The exterior has been refinished in black and features chrome bumpers with red-painted accents, a chrome horizontal-vane grille, split windshield, cowl vent, split rear window, dual exhaust outlets and dual side mirrors. Riding on black-painted 15-inch steel wheels fitted with Mercury Eight-branded hubcaps, bright trim rings and BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires, this sedan retains period-correct presence and character.
