A rare 4.5-litre V8, W108 SE not long returned from Sacramento... Classic early 1970's US-specification luxury saloon finished in Ivory with a Caramel MB-Tex interior. Imported from the dry state of California and consequently in sound original condition. Powered by the legendary 4.5-litre M117 V8. Power steering, sunroof and windows. Recent mechanical attention. Track rod ends, steering box, dampers, brake calipers, new brake lines. New HT leads and electronic ignition system (Pertronix Ignitor) ensure easy starting.
Refurbished ATS 'Mexican Hat' Wheels with brand new Falken ZE914s. (original wheels included) The car has proven totally reliable this summer including an extended trip to the South of France. Recently serviced and MOT'd. Only for sale due to an impending house purchase. Here for sale is a great example of a Mercedes 280SE 4.5, finished in Light Ivory, with a Caramel MB-Tex Interior.This car originally was shipped out to Sacremento, California being a US model where it lived out there until very recently.
As a result the inside and the exterior are all in great condition for the year with it lacking rust and the car having a great sense of originality.Despite being a 49 year old car, I have taken the liberty of MOTing it, which expires in March 2020.So, what can I say about this?With it oozing style of the classic Mercedes models, in addition to really being everyday friendly, it's a joy to drive around!With it having a variety of accoutrements including a it's not that hard a car to deal with for classic ownership!In my time I have maintained it well and done the following:Full service including diff oil change & PAS fluid changeGreasing points all attended to every 1,000 milesThis is a sale I'm not taking lightly.
It will be a shame to see the car go, but I am aware it will not disappoint the next owner, and it certainly has brought a smile to my face behind the wheel.
