Finished in orange and blue Gulf livery with a protective film over the entire car, this 2016 McLaren 675LT Spider features a unique 3-piece retractable folding hardtop that converts the car from closed coupe to open-top roadster in just 16 seconds. One of just 500 675LT Spiders produced, this two-owner car shows 1,926 miles and is fitted with the 3.8L/666 HP twin-turbocharged V-8 engine and the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The carbon ceramic 4-wheel ABS disc brakes work in unison with the rear spoiler airbrake system to curtail speed in short order and feature orange calipers that complement the orange 10-spoke alloy wheels and the Gulf trim.
The tail panel-exit dual exhaust system features Valvetronic technology, allowing drivers to control the exhaust volume from more aggressive to more civil, tailoring the driving experience for individual situations. Produced only for 2016, the McLaren 675LT was a lightweight, track-focused version of the 650S, shaving pounds off in various details including the wheels, brakes, body, chassis and interior. Like other McLarens, the 675 denotes the amount of Pferdestarke, or horsepower in metric units, and the LT stands for Long Tail, in reference to the 1997 McLaren F1 GT.
Introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, 500 650LT coupes were made, and by December of 2015, the Spider entered production. The 675LT Spider zips from 0-60 MPH in 2.9 seconds, finds 124 MPH in 8.1 seconds and tops out around 203 MPH, proving it as one of the quickest and fastest cars ever made. Interestingly, while only 500 Spiders were initially made, an additional 25 675LT Carbon Series Spiders were produced, bringing the grand total of 675LT Spiders to 525.
