C'est en hommage au 40ème anniversaire de la disparition du célèbre pilote Lotus, Jim Clark, que la marque décidait en 2008 de lancer une série exclusive basée sur la plus puissante des Elise, la SC. Initialement limitée à 25 exemplaires pour le marché britannique, la " Clark Type 25 " verra finalement sa production augmentée de 25 unités supplémentaires à destination du marché européen. Elle se distinguait notamment par sa livrée British Racing Green à bande jaune, telle que la Lotus 25 F1 avec laquelle Jim Clark avait remporté le championnat du monde en 1963.
En outre, le pack sport, un intérieur cuir spécifique, des jantes forgées Lotus Sport ou encore un plaque numérotée complétaient l'ensemble. L'exemplaire présenté porte le n° 013, son premier propriétaire en avait fait l'acquisition en Italie puis l'avais immatriculé neuf en France le 6 août 2009. Il est depuis demeuré dans la même famille et n'affiche qu'à peine plus de 13 000 km d'origine à ce jour. Superbement conservé, il n'a que peu roulé depuis décembre 2018, époque à laquelle des pneumatiques neufs avaient été montés. Il s'agit d'une occasion exceptionnelle d'allier les performances redoutables de l'Elise SC à l'exclusivité de cette série confidentielle et particulièrement réussie.

As a tribute to the famous Lotus driver Jim Clark and the 40th anniversary of his death, the brand decided to launch an exclusive series in 2008 based on the most powerful Elise, the SC. Initially limited to 25 units for the British market, the "Clark Type 25" will later on see its production increased by another 25 units for the European market.
It particularly stands out with its British Racing Green livery and yellow stripe, similar to the Lotus 25 F1 car in which Jim Clark had won the world championship in 1963. Additionally, this series included elements such as the sports package, specific leather interior, forged Lotus Sport rims and a numbered plate. This particular model bears the number 013, its first owner acquired it in Italy and later registered it new in France on 6 August 2009. It has since remained in the same family and barely has 13,000 km original mileage to date. Superbly preserved, it has rarely been driven since December 2018, at the time when new tyres were fitted.
