The XK8 is a grand tourer car that was launched in 1996 and was the first generation of a new XK series available in both coupé and convertible body styles and with the new 4.0 litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The 1998 XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155mph. A navigation system and self-levelling Xenon headlamps came as standard with the XKR and with Jaguar's adaptive cruise control as an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all leather interior, burr walnut trim and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace!
This particular example is presented in the rare and sought after colour of white with red leather interior, both of which are in superb condition. The car has a full history from new and is supplied with all its books/manuals. The luxurious interior is complemented by factory fitted air conditioning and electric seats. It also comes with a MoT test certificate which is valid until June 2020 and six service invoices can be found in the history file. A truly head turning example made even better by its stunning colour combination which sets it apart from the rest.
