Impressively presented, Moroccan Bronze, Pre-HE example of Jaguar’s finely aged grand tourer.

The Jaguar XJS was introduced in 1975 and became a mainstay on British roads enjoying a long production run until 1996. Powered by the 285bhp, 5.3-litre V12, mated to a 3-speed TH400 automatic gearbox, the XJS was capable of 0-60 in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 143mph when new. The 1979 example offered here is smartly presented in Moroccan Bronze with a black leather interior, period Rostyle wheels and displayed just 81,000 miles at the time of cataloguing. The owner informs us that the XJS benefitted from an air conditioning system overhaul including a air conditioning pump and a new stainless steel exhaust system in 2020.
