This has undergone a nut-and-bolt, frame-off restoration. It's finished in two-tone GM Aqua Blue and Dover White with a GMC Placid Blue and Dover White interior. All components have been rebuilt or replaced primarily with NOS or GM reproduction parts. It exhibits '50s style with its extensive chrome, stainless-steel trim, and brightly colored and luxurious interior. Mechanically and cosmetically the truck is in excellent condition. The original 270ci straight-6 was professionally rebuilt 1,000 miles ago. The 1958 GMC options of 4-speed manual transmission with a GMC rear end ratio 3:90 allow this truck to travel at modern day traffic speeds to make this a true joy to use and show.

The gas tank has been restored and lined to new condition. The radiator has been rebuilt and hoses have been replaced and held in place by the correct NOS clamps. The wiring harness has been replaced. The exhaust system is in excellent condition. A correct original-style 12-volt battery has been used. All brake components have been replaced or rebuilt. All the suspension, including the front end, has all rebuilt or replaced parts. The steering geometry was modified so the ride and the handling is better than original as the steering geometry is matched to the modern road tracking. It has five new wide whitewall tires with chrome GMC hubcaps.

The exterior has extensive chrome and stainless-steel trim. It has the Deluxe Cab option including chrome side window trim, stainless-steel front and rear window trim. Virtually all emblems have been re-chromed. It has beautiful chrome front and rear bumpers, grille, mirrors and various other chrome and stainless-steel trim pieces. The wood in the bed has been replaced and left in its natural pine color, protected by seven coats of Spar varnish.
