In 2005 Ford celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Thunderbird in a big way by building a limited number of special edition T-Birds. Before you is one of the 1,713 Evening Black cars produced and perhaps the lowest mileage example with only 776 actual miles. The 2005 Thunderbird is powered by a 3.9L that delivers 280hp at 6,000rpm and 286lb/ft of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine features coil-on-plug ignition with platinum-tipped spark plugs, lightweight, low friction pistons and dual exhaust. This improves engine performance, power and fuel economy. Other features include a 5-speed automatic transmission, anti-lock 4-wheel disc brakes, traction control and head and torso side airbags.
