Office Depot was the primary sponsor on Roush Fenway Racing Chassis No. RK-272, this No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion. This car was piloted to victory by Carl Edwards on June 17, 2007, in the Citizens Bank 400 at the legendary Michigan International Speedway. The company’s slogan was “Taking Care of Business,” and business is still serious here, as underhood is a Roush Yates D3 358 CI Ford Racing NASCAR V-8 engine, complete with CNC-ported Robert Yates D3 heads, MSD ignition, an Edelbrock intake manifold and a dry-sump oiling system.
This is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, and the body wears its red and black No. 99 Office Depot livery, complete with deck and side spoilers as well as contingency decals. Inside is a Ron Butler Professional Seat Systems racing seat, Sabelt racing harness, AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges and Memory tachometer, a fire suppression system, and full roll cage structure. Over the 4-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors are 15-inch black race wheels and Goodyear Eagle radial race tires, and Edwards’ facsimile signature is painted over the door opening, while tubing, zip ties and lines are intact. This car took care of business then and still does today.
