Finding a one-owner, original series Ford Bronco is an exceedingly tall order, so when a bird lands in the hand, it’s best to go with it. This is that bird. With documentation since new, this Bronco retains its original license plates and owner’s manual, while the original engine parts, Boss large-port heads and wheels and hubcaps are included. Currently on a 1970s historic title, the history of this Bronco is fairly unique. With some use in the sand at Glamis, California, during the 1970s, it was used as transport to motorcycle races for several years, eventually finding its way to storage in 2008.
Finished in yellow with a white top, the Bronco is appointed with chrome front and rear bumpers, twin chrome sideview mirrors, driving lights mounted on the front bumper and a spare tire on the tailgate with a custom cover. BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and custom 10-inch wheels finished in black with red and blue striping round out the look. The white interior is new, though wears its original paint.
The 302 CI V-8 engine, which was replaced in 2001, has been balanced and built with original Cobra valve covers, Forged True pistons, a Cloyes timing chain, Hedman headers, a high-velocity oil pump and an Edelbrock intake with a Carter AFB carburetor, and it’s mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch. The Bronco is also equipped with 4-wheel drive with front and rear billet driveshafts. The front end was recently serviced, and the suspension was raised with upgraded coils and Chassis 8 shocks. Rounding out this beautiful Bronco, the power brakes are enhanced with steel braided lines.
