Chassis n° ZFFBT55B000131298 Launched in 1996, following the rear mid-engined Testarossa models, the Ferrari 550 Maranello signalled Ferrari’s return to a front-mounted V12 for its most powerful coupé. Once again, its beautiful lines were penned by Pininfarina. The 5.5-litre engine, derived from that fitted to the 456 GT, produced 485 bhp in the Maranello, with peak torque increased to 568 Nm at 5000 rpm, allowing the GT to reach a top speed of nearly 200 mph 320 km/h. This high-performance engine was combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, mounted at the rear, so ensuring an ideal weight distribution.
The interior offers real pleasure, without denying its sporty genes, the Maranello remains a comfortable GT. Produced from 1996 to 2002, it will then evolve into 575M. Its displacement is increased to 5.7 l and the power of its V12 reaches 515 horsepower. It also receives an optimized braking system as well as a new interior. Two 6-speed gearboxes were available, a conventional mechanical version and for the first time on a Ferrari V12, the F1 Magneti-Marelli sequential gearbox. It will be produced in 2548 copies before being replaced by the 599 GTB in 2006. The 575M presented here was delivered new on January 23, 2003 by the official Ferrari dealer in Bayonne.
It wears a beautiful Rosso Corsa livery associated with a beige leather interior complete with matching carpets. This Ferrari with just under 29,000 km on the odometer, has its logbook showing regular maintenance in Ferrari centers and at the Calderoni Ferrari specialist. The car is equipped with its Schedoni pouch containing all its booklets and duplicate keys. In the trunk, we find its tool kit, its anti-puncture spray in its case and a cover in its transport bag.
