This custom 1970 Dodge Charger "Dukes of Hazard" promo car is powered by a 440ci V8 engine equipped with electronic ignition, paired with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission and a Chrysler 8.75-inch rear axle. The chassis is configured with standard suspension components and rides on 15-inch turbine wheels. Stopping is handled by power-assisted brakes. Exterior features include HEMI Orange paint, a front push bar, chrome flip-top fuel cap, roof-mounted Rebel flag graphic, "01" door graphics, "Hazzard County GA 1976" license plate and a functional "Dixie" horn system.
Interior appointments consist of a black interior with power windows, power brakes, center armrest, full gauge set and a roll bar. Additional features include Barris Kustom Industries badging, a Barris Kustom Industries Certificate of Authenticity and documentation noting ownership by George Barris as part of his Star Collection. The vehicle was used as a promotional and exhibition car in connection with the "Dukes of Hazzard" television program and appearances with George Barris and the show's stars, John Schneider and Tom Wopat, and is documented in video and DVD appearances. It should be noted that the General Lee vehicles used in the television series were built by Warner Bros.
