Recalling the aggressive 1970-74 Dodge Challenger, the all-new Challenger concept car created a firestorm of demand at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show and entered production in 2008. Classically styled with a modern twist and bristling with performance technologies, the new Challenger assumed “instant classic” status. Debuted at the April 2017 New York Auto Show, the Challenger SRT Demon took place as the world’s fastest and most powerful production car.
Built only for 2018, the lighter-weight Challenger SRT Demon delivers 808 HP on 91-octane pump gas and 840 HP with 100-octane fuel from its 6.2L supercharged Hemi V-8 along with a wide array of chassis, drivetrain and electronic wizardry to deliver shocking 9-second quarter-mile times. Riding on a special set of Nitto drag radial tires, the Demon also came with a “Demon Crate” containing virtually every part and tool required to dominate at the dragstrip.
Finished in White Knuckle paint with an aggressive flat black hood, wide “Air Grabber” scoop and black interior with Laguna Alcantara seats, this 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon retains its factory plastic steering wheel cover, driver’s seat cover and factory instructional tags. While capable of stunning performance, this SRT Demon is highly optioned, as it’s equipped with optional front/rear passenger seating with heating and ventilation up front, dual-zone climate control, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel and Premium audio with Apple CarPlay and Sirius XM connectivity.
Power is maximized by an 8-speed semi-automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles, drag mode suspension, line lock, after-run cooler, launch assist, a transbrake, Torque Reserve on Demand system, three-mode adaptive damping, SRT drive modes, a performance shift indicator and 4-piston lightweight disc brakes. This Demon is even equipped with a ParkView back-up camera. Carrying Serial No. 1528 and showing just 8 miles on the odometer, this 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon includes the Demon Crate package, a window sticker and stands as a true modern legend.
