The 2023 Dodge Demon 170 is considered the most serious street and strip package ever released, and the example offered here has the additional notoriety of previously being owned by professional wrestler and car enthusiast Bill Goldberg. This is Demon No. 1083, one of the 3,300 total produced worldwide, and it shows a mere 23 miles since rolling off the Brampton, Ontario, Canada, assembly line. Part of the brand’s Last Call program from the final model season for this model, 2023, these would be the highest-ever horsepower Dodge Challengers ever created. The car is powered by a specially fitted, supercharged 6.2L Hemi V-8 engine capable of producing 1,025 HP.
That potential and the accompanying massive 925 lb-ft of torque came from the car’s paired Power Chiller and After-Run Chiller, a larger 3.0L IHI blower, high-flow fuel injectors and the reprogrammed engine controller for optional E85 use. Behind that is a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission with a transbrake and a limited-slip differential. With every Demon, there are also SRT-developed Performance Pages modes, adaptive Bilstein-shock competition suspension, Line Lock, Launch Control and Launch Assist, and 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS and yellow-logo Brembo 4-piston calipers.
The car looks quite ominous wearing its Pitch Black exterior paint, which is highlighted by the special Air Grabber hood with wide-design scoop, functional spoiler package and exclusive-to-the-Demon rear-only body flares. The interior matches this, featuring Black 170 leather and Alcantara front seats equipped with Demonic Red seatbelts. Overhead is a suede headliner, but this car has no sound insulation or rear seat. There is also a tilt/telescopic steering column, power windows and locks, power fold-away mirrors, pushbutton start, cruise control and select driver-assist accessories. In the dash is an 8.4-inch touch-screen display.
Largely an all-business package inside, the exterior shows off the Demon emblems and front spoiler tape but still retains a stealthy appearance. The final touches are its black 18×8 front and 17×11 rear forged aluminum wheels with Mickey Thompson performance tires.
