The first mid-engine 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 went into production in the summer of 2022 and launched as a 2023 model. This example is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8 engine that features a flat-plane crank and revs to 8,600 rpm. The V8 is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and has a 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds. The Corvette was introduced in June 1953, and 2023 marked 70 years of Corvette production. Chevrolet celebrated this milestone with the 70th Anniversary Edition.
