The Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe, designed by Bill Mitchell and powered by Zora Duntov, remains among the most sought-after models of America's sports car. This original 1963 Split-Window Corvette's GM official production date was January 30, 1963, according to the NCRS Shipping Data Report, and it was delivered new to Blair Chevrolet in Island Park, NY. This Split-Window Corvette was ordered with and retains its matching-numbers optional L76 solid-lifter high-performance 327/340hp engine, which includes a factory aluminum intake manifold, solid-lifter camshaft and 11.25:1 engine compression ratio, topped with a Carter aluminum-bodied AFB 4-barrel carburetor.

It is backed by a BorgWarner T10 4-speed manual transmission and a Code G81 posi-traction rear axle, showcasing that performance was a priority. The box was also checked for Code U65 signal-seeking AM radio and 670x15 tires. It is finished in its original Code 941 Sebring Silver exterior and black interior, which can be verified by the vehicle's original Trim Tag.

This Corvette retains its original components, including the alternator (#1100628) dated January 15, 1963, aluminum Harrison radiator (#3155316) dated July 1962, Harrison aluminum overflow tank (#3155416) dated December 1962, aluminum Winters intake manifold (GM #3794129), Carter AFB lift (#3461S) carburetor dated AL2 (first week of November 1962) and bellhousing (#3788421). The matching-numbers engine shows a #3782870 casting number and an engine casting date of A213 (January 21, 1963). The engine pad reads 3107861 (correct VIN derivative for this car), with assembly code F0123RE (F = Flint Engine Assembly Plant, 0123 = January 23 assembly date, RE = L76 340hp assembly code).

The matching-numbers transmission reads 3107861 (correct VIN derivative for this car), WA2333 (transmission assembly date of January 23, 1963, third shift) and transmission tail shaft #3813490 dated December 2, 1962.
