Most in the know would consider this ultra-rare RPO 684 "big brake" heavy-duty suspension, fuel-injected 1959 roadster as the "Holy Grail" of first generation Corvettes. One of only 142 produced and possibly the only one finished in Tuxedo Black with Red interior trim. This 1959 Corvette has had a complete, professional, no-expense-spared, body-off restoration by a foremost Corvette facility; resulting in the coveted Bloomington Gold award.

The car is documented with judging sheets and complete owner history dating back to March 3, 1959 when John Singleton Cooper took delivery of his brand new Corvette from Ourisman Chevrolet in Washington D.C.

The complete driveline is correct to the car and comprises 283-cid, 290-hp fuel-injected V-8 engine, T10 four-speed manual transmission and Posi-traction rear axle. When ordered new, performance was the only thing in mind and no creature comfort options were installed on this removable hardtop only, radio and heater delete, purpose-built Corvette. The 15 x 5.5-inch steel wheels and "dog dish" hubcaps immediately let one know that this is not your typical Corvette.
