Debuting in 1985, The Camaro IROC Z/28 was inspired by the International Race of Champions competition. Chevrolet took the standard Z/28 and upgraded the suspension, lowered the ride height, installed a tuned port injection system and added a few exterior enhancements – including the iconic 5-spoke “IROC” wheels. The result was good enough to make Car and Driver magazine’s Ten Best list for 1985 and to establish a new generation of Camaro enthusiast.
With just under 13,000 original miles, this IROC is one of the most original examples on the market today. It features the original paint, engine and interior. It even rolls on the original Goodyear tires installed at the factory. The car comes with an impressive list of documentation, retaining every single purchase document from new, including buyer’s order, Window Sticker copy, stock number sticker, delivery paperwork and much more. It features numerous additional ownership and service documents as well, verifying the mileage to be original.
From new the car came with a nice list of options, including power windows, T-tops, air conditioning, cloth bucket seats, rear defrost, power locks, tinted glass and auxiliary lighting. It comes with many original accessories, like the T-top bags, two sets of original GM keys, owner’s manuals and the original floor mats.
