This custom 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer received an extensive nut-and-bolt restoration with thousands of hours spent and attention to detail throughout on this no-expense-spared design and build that was recently completed by Artistic Customs in Jasper, OR. This K5 is powered by a new supercharged GM Performance 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine producing 650hp and 650 ft/lbs of torque - the same engine used in the high-performance C7 Corvette Z06s. The engine is mated to a 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with an advanced adapter to support the billet Atlas transfer case.

It also features a TIG-welded exhaust system, stainless fuel tank, stainless brake lines, Ultimate stainless headers, Be Cool radiator, Wegner 700hp front drive kit and Wegner custom billet valve covers. The suspension features Fox 2.5-inch series adjustable coilovers and Currie Rock Jock high-pinion Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 rear axle. It sits on a Roadster Shop RS4 chassis and also features four-wheel 13-inch Baer disc brakes and a PRC Hydrostat brake booster to provide stopping power. This K5 rides on 17-inch KMC beadlock wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich tires. The body was acid-dipped and then finished in Glasurit’s Bashful Blue and white paint laid over a laser-straight body.

The exterior features Amp Research power steps, as well as customizations that include Artistic Customs carbon-fiber inner fenders, relocation of the fuel filler to the side maker light, extensive metal fabrication to the firewall and an easy-drop tailgate. This K5 features a Mercedes-Benz blue custom leather interior with Wise Guys reclining front seats, a Vintage Air system, power windows, an Ididit tilt steering column, Billet Specialties steering wheel, and a custom Autosound stereo, all done by award-winning Jon Lind Interiors. The dash, console, steering wheel and door panels are wrapped in leather as well to complete the look.
