This Hill's Hot Rods Build-a-Square custom 1989 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is finished in PPG Cavalry Blue and Pure White. This K5 is powered by a Holley mid-mount front-runner-equipped 6.0-liter LS engine mated to a 4L80 automatic transmission and NP208 transfer case. A Johnson's radiator and cooling fan setup keeps things running cool. The updated suspension consists of a 4-inch Soft Ride Offroad Design lift with crossover steering, heavy-duty mounts, shackles and Fox Reservoir shocks. It rides on 17-inch Raceline Ryno Bronze wheels wrapped in 35x12.50r17 Toyo Open Country M/T Tires. A Fesler USA flush-mount front windshield and top side glass add a modern touch and seamless look to the outside.
All new rubber weatherstripping, lighting and trim from Classic Parts of America and LMC Truck, along with AMP power retracting steps, finish out the exterior. JDGlassworks handled the plush interior and complete Kicker audio. Front reshaped factory high-back buckets and a reworked factory rear set were wrapped in Apex Auto Leather Retro Tiger's Eye with custom Kovi Fabrics Indigo plaid inserts. The custom-built center console houses a Safe Box and is also covered in Tiger's Eye leather. Custom-built door panels, kick panels, side panels and tailgate panel are covered in Tiger's Eye leather as well.
A Forever Sharp steering wheel sits in front of the Dakota Digital RTX gauges with cruise control. This SUV is also equipped with a Vintage Air Gen V Surefit kit, Fat Mat sound-deadening material, a front and rearview camera system, and ACC Bronze carpet wrap up the interior. The bottom of the body also received some attention with color-matched Raptor-liner sprayed over the complete underside. CARFAX shows potential odometer rollover on 05/31/2003, mileage inconsistency on 06/11/2005 and 04/22/2019.
