One of the most dramatically styled Coupés of its era thanks to the iconic 'Boat-Tail' rear and offered from 19 years of UK-ownership.

Manufactured in 1972 and first registered to our vendor, the car’s only UK-keeper, on 27/06/2006. Supplied new to California and shipped to South Africa soon after from where it was imported from to the UK. Produced between 1971 and 1973 the third generation Buick Riviera is regarded as the most dramatically styled 'Land Yacht' of its era. Nicknamed the 'Boat-Tail’, it was powered by Buick’s 7.5-litre V8 engine mated to General Motors’ 3-speed turbo-hydromatic automatic transmission. First registered in the UK to our vendor on 27/06/2006, the car joined his collection of American cars. The history file shows receipts for a full engine and transmission rebuild less than 200 miles ago.

Kept in fine form for classic car shows and film productions, the Riviera’s odometer read 83,881 miles at the time of cataloguing. A prime example of 1970s design before the restrictions imposed by the US government in the name of pedestrian safety.
