Its design was signed by Claus Luthe and the Italian Ercole Spada, who previously worked for Zagato. When presented, the general public and journalists alike considered the 7 Series is a very elegant car.
Under the hood, the famous M30 engine, born with the BMW 2500 and 2800, is found in the entry-level segment, with a displacement of 2,986 cm3 and 197 hp for the 730i.
