The Bentley T-Series was the Bentley badged version of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, available as a four or two-door saloon with coachwork by James Young or Mulliner Park Ward. The Bentley differed from its Rolls-Royce equivalent by its more rounded front grille and different bonnet while the badging on the wheel covers, boot lid and gauges naturally featured Bentley motifs. In October 1966, the ‘T’ saloon's pre-tax 'list price' of £5,375 undercut the Rolls-Royce by £50! The Bentley was technically an identical twin of the Rolls-Royce and seemed to have been purchased mostly by owners wishing for a more understated luxury saloon.
This rare luxury long wheelbase Bentley T2 was first registered on 20th January 1978, the car is one of only two built this production year and is presented in Scots Pine Green coachwork with a contrasting cream leather opulent trim. A non Everflex roof car and a car well known to the Rolls-Royce and Bentley owners club due to its rarity, this car has spent a number of years in Germany and was cared for by Steenbuck Automobiles with a number of TÜV certificates for recent years available in the history file.
Prior to its holiday in Germany, Ghost Motors were responsible for its care and since its return to the UK the car has spent the last year wafting around London going to various social events. Delivered new to a titled owner, this car has spent much of its life being chauffeur driven and well maintained, with documents found in the history file. We are informed by the owner that the car is in very good order.
Not only are the long wheelbase cars four inches longer but we believe incredibly good value given the rarity in the Rolls-Royce and Bentley marketplace, what better way to arrive to that social event and impress?
