The Bentley Mulsanne is named after the Mulsanne Straight of the Le Mans racing circuit, Bentley cars having won six victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past. Bentley brought back the Mulsanne nameplate that was last used in 1992; this model replaces the hugely successful Arnage and was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August 2009. In keeping with the Arnage, the Mulsanne retained the 6750cc, V8 power unit, the engine was lighter and featured cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing to improve fuel efficiency. It was the first flagship car to be independently designed by Bentley Motors in nearly 80 years; the last being W.O. Bentley's 8 litre model in 1930.
This desirable Tungsten Metallic over Beluga hide Mulsanne was first registered on 30th January 2012. Optional extras include stitched Bentley emblems and Beluga seat piping together with the Premier Specification package and the 'Naim for Bentley' premier audio system and TV tuner. The car has been serviced six times, all within the Bentley main dealer network and, most recently, at HR Owen in October 2017 with 55,265 miles showing.
In fabulous condition throughout, the driving experience of such a luxury car is like no other; the sumptuous interior is supremely comfortable with massage rear seats and, with a top speed of 190mph, (where permitted) and a 0-62mph time of 4.9 seconds, for such a large car the performance is outstanding. This Mulsanne is supplied with a V5C registration document, copy of the original build sheet and current MoT certificate until August 2018.
