Commercialisée à partir de 2005, la Bentley Continental Flying Spur peut être considérée comme la digne héritière de la Bentley S1 du même nom, carrossée par Mulliner dès la fin des années 50: une berline quatre portes luxueuse, largement motorisée afin d'envisager de longs trajets dans un confort absolu. Cet exemplaire a été délivré neuf en novembre 2006 au Cap d'Ail et c'est très certainement l'opulent habitacle tendu de cuir marron, combiné à une carrosserie " Beluga Black " qui a incité Kenzo Takada, célèbre styliste et fondateur de la marque Kenzo, à en faire sa voiture personnelle, jusqu'à son décès en 2020.
Le carnet d'entretien retrace un historique suivi jusqu'en 2014, alors que la voiture totalisait 77 146 km. Elle affiche aujourd'hui un peu moins de 118 000 km et devra bénéficier d'une révision générale, incluant le remplacement des batteries. Le contrôle technique sera, en outre, à effectuer par l'acheteur. La carrosserie est en état d'usage et porte les stigmates d'une utilisation parisienne qu'il conviendra de corriger afin de lui redonner l'éclat qu'exige son rang. Se glisser derrière le volant apparait comme un privilège tant le niveau d'équipement et le soin accordé aux finitions est impressionnant.
Le toit ouvrant complète l'agrément du conducteur, tandis que les passagers arrière bénéficient d'un confort royal. Le 12 cylindres bi-turbo est aussi docile en ville que sauvage à la moindre sollicitation (0 à 100 en 5'2!) et il devient concevable d'hésiter entre le plaisir de se mettre aux commandes de cette " superberline ", ou bien prendre ses aises dans le fastueux salon arrière. The bodywork is in used condition and bears the marks of the car's use in Paris, which should be made good to restore it to the condition befitting its status. Its impressive level of equipment and meticulous finish make it a privilege to get behind the wheel. The sunroof adds to the driver's pleasure, while the rear-seat passengers enjoy a regal standard of comfort.
