French registration title The 2001 Geneva Motor Show saw the announcement of Aston Martin's latest model, the most exclusive front-wheel drive V12 GT in the range: the Vanquish| the styling was sumptuous (designed by the genius Ian Callum), and it proved a great success, particularly after the release of James Bond's latest film, Die Another Day, in which the Vanquish was used in Iceland!
Considered by purists as Aston Martin's apogee, the S version of the Vanquish was presented at the 2004 Paris Motor Show: the V12 gained 62 bhp, taking power to 528 hp, and the aerodynamics, suspension and gearbox were revised for greater efficiency!
Our example is one of some 1,086 produced in the S version, and was delivered new in May 2005 by Aston Martin Paris to its
first owner, who kept the car until 2020, servicing it non-stop at the same Aston Martin dealership. It was at this point that the current owner purchased the car, also maintaining it exclusively at Aston Martin Paris, and only using it on rare occasions.
Today, the car comes to us in a very good state of preservation and working order. Its Obsidian Black paintwork is well preserved, as is the interior, which is entirely original! The 6-litre V12 engine is exceptional and works wonderfully well, as does the 6-speed automatic gearbox, which was revised when the car was upgraded to the S version and now offers a brilliant compromise between sportiness and driving comfort.
It is also important to note that the last service was carried out by Aston Martin Paris in August 2024, ensuring that our car is in perfect working order.
The market for cars from the early 2000s is on the verge of exploding, so there's still time to buy the right examples... With just 38,650 km on the clock, this second-hand example of French origin is one of the last James Bond Aston Martins still available at a reasonable price: don't miss the opportunity to add such a myth to your collection!
