Hyundai has revealed the new-generation 2027 Hyundai Tucson, and the compact SUV looks dramatically different from the outgoing model. Its new styling brings a boxier profile, pronounced fender flares and full-width lighting elements at both ends, while angular headlights and taillights give it a futuristic appearance.

Inside, the Tucson adopts a large central touchscreen, a rounded center console and a two-spoke steering wheel. Orange accents across the dashboard add a distinctive touch to the cabin.

Hyundai will continue offering both hybrid and nonhybrid powertrains. The new hybrid retains a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four but now produces 242 horsepower—11 hp more than the current Tucson Hybrid. It remains unclear whether the plug-in hybrid will return. The rugged XRT trim is also confirmed for the new generation.

More U.S.-market details are expected soon, including dimensions, EPA fuel-economy figures and specifications for the nonhybrid version.
