Roush Performance has unveiled a special Red Edition supercharger kit for 2021–2026 Ford F-150 models equipped with the 5.0-liter V8. The limited-release package marks two major anniversaries at once: Roush's 50th year in business and America's upcoming 250th birthday. Best of all, buyers won't pay extra for the exclusive finish, with pricing remaining at $8,899.99.
Mechanically, the Red Edition is identical to Roush's existing supercharger package. The heart of the upgrade is a 2.65-liter Roots-style supercharger featuring twin four-lobe rotors, increasing output to an impressive 705 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque. To support the additional performance, the kit also includes a forged aluminum crankshaft damper, upgraded air intake, larger radiator, intercooler, revised spark plugs, and optimized engine calibration.
The only visual difference is impossible to miss. Instead of the standard black housing, the Red Edition receives a bright red finish inspired by Roush's corporate colors and one of the signature colors of the American flag. The design follows a similar approach used on the company's supercharger kits for the latest Ford Mustang, which are available with up to 810 horsepower.
Roush hasn't published official acceleration figures, as performance will depend on the specific F-150 configuration. For reference, Ford's FP700-powered F-150 reached 60 mph in 4.2 seconds during testing, while the 720-horsepower F-150 Raptor R managed the same sprint in just 3.6 seconds. With even more torque available, the Red Edition should have no trouble delivering serious straight-line performance.
Although Roush describes the Red Edition as a special release, the company hasn't confirmed whether the red finish will remain exclusive. Its official wording leaves the possibility open that the color could return in the future—or disappear altogether.
Would you choose the Red Edition simply for its unique appearance, or would the standard black supercharger make more sense for the same price?
