The 2027 Chevrolet Traverse brings back the High Country trim with a more upscale look and cabin. Chevrolet’s flagship SUV version swaps the previous chrome-heavy styling for black accents and Tritan Satin trim, while redesigned 22-inch wheels come standard.

Inside, the High Country gets a new Jet Black and Natural Tan color combination, updated synthetic upholstery, and genuine wood on the dashboard and upper doors. The new material replaces leather and is designed to be more durable, easier to maintain, and more sustainable. A redesigned High Country badge also appears on the exterior and embossed headrests.

Under the hood, the Traverse keeps its 328-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, paired with an eight-speed automatic and front- or all-wheel drive. Towing capacity remains 5,000 pounds. Super Cruise is available, while new Cabin Glance and Surround Vision Recorder add extra convenience and security.

Could the refreshed High Country become a stronger rival to GMC’s Denali? Is the new cabin upscale enough to justify the premium? Chevrolet will reveal pricing later this year, with production starting next month and an expected price around $58,000.
